Managed Service Accounts Gui. Managed service accounts password management is automatic. Managed service accounts are active directory accounts that are assigned to certain computers.
I verified first that the key did not exist. Another security bonus to using an msa to run a service is that unlike a conventional domain user account that would normally be used to run services, you cannot log on to a computer interactively (at the ctrl alt del screen) with an msa. Once the gmsa is installed, the service will start regardless the principalsallowed setting until the managed password changes.
It has a simple and intuitive graphical user interface tool which makes it very quick.
The first version of this tool is now available and it can be downloaded here. Now that i have a key, it’s time to create a new service account. There are limits though, and understanding these up front will save you planning time later.
